Letter to Church Leaders

Dear Fellow Minister,

By Peaceful Waters Inc. is a private agency that seeks to serve churches and their surrounding communities as an extension of the ministry of the church. Through a variety of services (professional counselling, workshops, and group therapy), we offer an integrated approach designed to minister to the whole person. We address emotional, behavioural, cognitive, and spiritual needs, and are a resource for your church and for all in need of refreshing.

Our agency was birthed through a series of events that we feel were so divinely directed that we are constantly awed at how we arrived where we are today. God has gathered people with unique giftings into the organization and has given us many blessings since He first granted the vision for By Peaceful Waters. In 2000 the development of By Peaceful Waters began, and one of the biggest factors in our growth has been the strategic partnerships we have made with churches in Southwestern Ontario. We are particularly encouraged by how our partner churches have responded and benefited.

Please know that although we are excited by this work, we understand how difficult it is for a person to come to a place where hurts can be acknowledged and the healing process started. Although we did not know or understand the depths to which God had already been preparing His flock of believers to start the journey towards healing in their lives, we have heard from church leadership repeatedly that a professional therapeutic ministry is needed and desired within the church. We recognize that ultimately it is only the Lord who heals, and we feel that He has asked us to share in this journey with His people. Now we stand before you - seeking out ways to be involved with more churches that desire a partnership with a Christian counselling agency.

We offer conventional counselling, prayer counselling, and professional specializations like Play Therapy and Art Therapy. We also make educational presentations and are willing to explore a variety of ways in which we can come alongside your ministry to compliment it. We look forward to being a resource for your church and your community.
