Whole foods for heart, soul, and strength

We believe that a body that is well nourished will be better able to handle all of life’s challenges. Our mission is to educate people about the benefits of natural nutrition & optimal lifestyle practices, empowering them to discover the preventative and healing impact food can have on their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

“Food is a drug, make no mistake about it.

Just like every other drug or remedy on the planet,

your nutrition has a deep impact on your health both emotionally and physically.

Therefore choose your food wisely.”

How does nutritional counselling work?

Custom-designed meal plans can help healthy people experience a new level of wellness, and can also assist with the management of depression, arthritis, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, allergies, digestive disturbances, and other chronic health challenges. Working in full collaboration with you, our nutritional counsellors will:

  • Use symptomatology questionnaires to evaluate possible nutritional imbalances and suggest specific foods, lifestyle changes, and supplements to maintain overall health
  • Provide recommendations, meal plans, and recipes that include the nutrients your body needs to function at its best, regardless of what condition it may be in
  • Help you make a connection between what you eat and how you feel physically, emotionally, socially, mentally, and spiritually

After a thorough assessment of your lifestyle and health (including any concerns, food preferences, or goals related to over-all wellness) your Nutritional Counsellor will present you with customized meal and lifestyle recommendations, including exercise, nutritional supplements, and recommendations for reading materials if applicable. Your sessions may also include cooking lessons and instructions on how to set up a kitchen full of healthy, delicious whole foods.

Why would I see a Nutritional Counsellor? My blood work is normal.

Standard blood or urine tests will often show that everything is within normal limits, yet a person just doesn’t feel right. The reason for this is simple: blood is in a constant struggle to maintain a steady state, and will maintain homeostasis even at the expense of other parts of the body (like your bones, teeth, and glands). The make-up of urine constantly fluctuates depending on what we eat or drink. As a result, exclusive reliance on laboratory tests can be misleading. Nutritional symptomatology, while an approximate form of measurement, can be key in determining and treating a nutritional weakness.
